Farleigh is a village in Surrey, England about 5 miles to the South East of Croydon.
The village lay within the Anglo-Saxon administrative division of Tandridge hundred.
Farleigh appears in Domesday Book of 1086 as Ferlega. It was held by Robert de Wateville from Richard Fitz Gilbert. Its domesday assets were: ½ hide; 2 ploughs, 1 ox. It rendered £3.[1]
From 1965 to 1969 Farleigh was part of the London Borough of Croydon.
It has a football club called Farleigh Rovers down Harrow RD which is in Warlingham but is in the Chelsham and Farleigh council area. Their ground is called Parsonage Field and is a small ground but it feels quite nice to be in. they play in The Cherry Red Combined Counties Football League and they are close rivals with Warlingham F.C. who are in the same league as well.
